Yay, your free writing tools PDF is here!
One of the things that distinguishes skilled writers is their ability to use the full variety of tools at their disposal. Great writing doesn’t just have a great sound to it (whether it’s that internal head-voice or an external reading voice, such as on an audiobook), it has great visual impact, as well.
What we see on the page (or screen) shapes how we read it. (Like that parenthetical there. And here. You know because it’s set off this way that it’s an aside to the main point.)
A little while ago, I created an instructional sheet for some of my writers to illustrate lesser-known tools of writing, and to help them navigate areas that are often sticky for writers (such as dialogue). And now it’s all yours!
One of my writers said it’s the best style guide she’s ever read in terms of helping her with concrete writing skills. I hope you enjoy it, as well.
Happy writing!
